Accounting Specialist

Role Overview We are looking for an Accounting Specialist – Level 3 who can independently manage core accounting responsibilities while maintaining strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and clear communication. This role is ideal for a mid-level accounting professional ready to take ownership of deliverables, support client-facing outcomes, and grow toward future Client Manager responsibilities. Key Responsibilities - Categorize P&L and balance sheet accounts accurately - Perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations - Manage AP/AR processes, including invoicing and billing - Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy - Support month-end and year-end close activities - Review financial statements and identify discrepancies or trends - Assist with audits and prepare supporting schedules - Follow established accounting workflows independently - Identify process improvements and recommend efficiencies - Document procedures to support scalable processes - Communicate clearly with internal teams and US-based clients - Support Client Managers with reports, summaries, and follow-ups Required Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field - 3+ years of hands-on accounting experience - Strong knowledge of GAAP principles - Experience with reconciliations and month-end close - Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks Online preferred) - Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, formulas, lookups) - Strong written and verbal English communication skills - Close attention to detail and a strong analytical mindset
