What you'll actually be doing:
- Look after your accounts — Manage and grow a portfolio of existing accounts, building strong relationships with decision makers, influencers and budget holders through regular contact and a real understanding of their priorities.
- Triage and qualify opportunities — Be the first port of call between customers, pre-sales and the Sales Director, running discovery calls to capture the full requirement and handing over accurate information.
- Grow our support services — Spot natural moments (orders, projects, renewals) to attach our co-managed proactive support, positioned as added value rather than a hard upsell.
- Handle leads, quotes and coordination — Respond to inbound leads, prepare quotations, liaise with suppliers and register opportunities with vendors for deal protection.
- Keep everything moving — Track orders and ETAs, process POs, support clean handovers to delivery, and keep accurate records in Zoho CRM.
What we're looking for:
- 3 + years in account management, customer success, sales or another client-facing commercial role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication — strong grammar and a real eye for detail.
- Excellent customer service and a professional, personable approach.
- A good grasp of sales principles and the instinct to spot opportunities within existing accounts.
- Confident with Microsoft tools — Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams and PowerPoint.
- Able to build relationships at every level, from IT contact to senior decision maker.
- Experience preparing quotations or supporting sales proposals.
- Able to qualify opportunities and gather clear, complete requirements.
- Genuinely organized — comfortable juggling multiple customers, actions and leads at once.
- Some familiarity with Wi-Fi, networking, switching, firewalls or IT infrastructure is a bonus, but not required.
- Background in technical sales, IT reseller, networking, infrastructure, UK education or SMB environments is preferred, but not essential — we'll train the right person.
