Job Summary

This role involves supervising accounting staff, overseeing daily financial transactions, and preparing financial statements. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with financial regulations and manage month-end closing processes. Additionally, the position requires strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws and proficiency in accounting software.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, and mentor accounting staff
  • Prepare and review monthly and annual financial statements
  • Oversee daily transactions, AP/AR, and bank reconciliations
  • Coordinate month-end/year-end closing and audit support
  • Develop and maintain internal controls and compliance
  • Assist in budgeting and financial forecasting

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience (1-2 years in supervisory role)
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, and advanced MS Excel
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and Philippine tax laws
  • Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills

Job Details

Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor staff accountants and clerical staff, including assigning daily tasks and managing performance. Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare, review, and verify monthly and annual financial statements, reports, and journal entries for accuracy and compliance. General Ledger & Transactions: Oversee daily accounting transactions, including AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and cash flow management. Closing & Audit Support: Coordinate month-end and year-end closing processes and assist with internal/external audits by providing necessary documentation. Compliance & Internal Controls: Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and internal controls to ensure compliance with laws and regulations. Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and analyze financial data to support forecasting. Skills & Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Experience: Proven experience as an Accounting Supervisor, Senior Accountant, or in a similar supervisory role. Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or senior accounting role. Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP). Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial regulations. Proficiency in Philippine tax laws, BIR compliance, and statutory filings. Leadership & Soft Skills: Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities. Strong analytical capabilities, excellent organizational skills, and high attention to detail.
