Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Accounting team, reporting directly to the Senior Accounting Manager. This role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of the financial close process, with a strong emphasis on team collaboration, monthly account reconciliations, and audit readiness. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting expertise, experience with multi-entity consolidations and month-end close activities, and a proactive approach to financial analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Support month-end close process with journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Monitor international teams and serve as point of contact for reconciliation issues

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience (2+ years in senior role)
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions of this role include, but are not limited to, the following: - Perform monthly consolidation of financial results across multiple entities and currencies. - Prepare consolidated financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement. - Ensure intercompany eliminations are accurate, reconciled, and properly documented. - Support the month-end close process by preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses. - Monitor international teams to ensure monthly account reconciliations are completed accurately and on time. - Serve as a point of contact for international accounting teams, ensuring timely communication and resolution of reconciliation or close-related issues. - Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency through automation and best practices. - Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. - 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a senior-level accounting role. - Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP. - Experience preparing and reviewing monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and audit schedules. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. - Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. - Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines. - Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus. Preferred: - Experience working in a multi-entity and/or multinational environment. - Public accounting experience with a Big 4 or large regional accounting firm. - Prior involvement in external audit engagements from the client side. - Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines and hold cross-functional teams accountable.
