Accounting Assistant
Job Summary
The Accounting Assistant for Accounts Payable is responsible for processing incoming payments, performing daily financial transactions, and reconciling ledgers. The role requires handling bills, invoices, and bank deposits while ensuring compliance with financial policies. A qualified candidate must hold a relevant degree and possess at least 2 years of experience in accounts payable and financial reporting.

Job Details
Main Duties and Responsibilities
· Processing accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
· Performing day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data
· Preparing bills, invoices and bank deposits
· Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data
· Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted.
· Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements
· Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients
· Generate reports detailing accounts payables status
· Understand expense accounts and cost centers
· Understands compliance issues around accounts payable processes (W-9, sales tax, etc.)
Qualifications:
§ Must be a Bachelor’s Degree Holder in Accountancy or any financial and business related course
§ Must have at least 2 years relevant experience in tax reporting, accounts payable and disbursement, financial reporting, bank reconciliation
§ Must be keen to details and highly-interested to numbers
§ Must be a fast-learner and highly adaptable to a fast-paced work environment
§ Must be resilient, flexible, and enthusiastic in his/her work
