Job Summary

The Service Engineer is responsible for leading preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and providing technical support for security systems at client sites. The role also involves preparing technical reports, coordinating with teams and customers, and ensuring compliance with safety and company standards. Additionally, the engineer is expected to learn other building management and engineering systems while maintaining strong client relationships.

Job Details

Key Responsibilities: Lead and perform preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and service activities at client sites. Respond to assigned service calls and address customer technical concerns in a timely and professional manner. Troubleshoot, maintain, and provide technical support for security systems, particularly: CCTV Systems Access Control Systems. Must also be open and willing to learn about the other systems and services of the organization such as the Building Management System, Environmental Monitoring System, VESDA, Water Leak Detection System, Fire Detection and Alarm System, Public Address System, FM200 /Fire Suppression System, Message Master, Facilities Monitoring System, Variable Air Volume, CO2 Monitoring System. Provide technical guidance and support to engineers, technicians, and other team members. Prepare accurate and comprehensive technical reports, including narrative, explanatory, assessment, and recommendation reports. Conduct site surveys to assess additional installation requirements, system needs, and potential service opportunities. Monitor the progress and completion of preventive maintenance activities and assigned projects. Coordinate with supervisors, officers, dispatch/service personnel, engineers, technicians, and customers regarding service requirements and site concerns. Ensure all technical activities are performed efficiently and in compliance with company policies, client requirements, safety standards, and applicable procedures. Maintain accurate documentation of service activities, findings, recommendations, and completed work through the company's helpdesk system and service portal. Participate in technical training, seminars, and other learning opportunities to continuously enhance technical and professional competencies. Promote teamwork and provide leadership, coaching, and technical guidance to other engineers and team members. Assist management in technical decision-making and resolution of site-related concerns. Maintain strong client relationships by providing timely, professional, and effective technical support. Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance service quality, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering/ Electronics and Communication Engineering/ Computer Engineering/ Information and Technology A licensed engineer (RECE) Experience or working knowledge of CCTV and Access Control Systems is highly preferred. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and critical-thinking skills. Demonstrated leadership and team coordination skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good organizational, planning, and time-management skills. Customer-service oriented with the ability to communicate professionally with clients and stakeholders. Adaptable, dependable, and capable of working effectively under pressure and in field-based environments. Willing to undergo technical training and learn other building management, security, and engineering systems. Knowledge of strategic planning, risk management, or change management is an advantage. Willingness to travel to client sites and perform field-based technical work as required. Willing to work during holidays, emergency situations, and unpredictable service schedules, including urgent deployments.
