The Accounting Officer is responsible for recording financial transactions, preparing financial statements, and managing accounts payable and receivable. Job Details
Duties and Responsibilities
Record, classify, and summarize financial transactions accurately and on time.
Prepare and maintain general ledger and subsidiary ledger.
Prepare financial statements, schedules, and management reports.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Monitor collections, payments, and bank transactions.
Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts regularly.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and government regulations.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and internal audit.
Maintain accurate financial records and safeguard company financial records.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Financial Management, or a related field.
Registered Bookkeeper is preferred.
At least 1–2 years of accounting experience is preferred.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and taxation.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms is an advantage.
Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
Able to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
