Working directly onsite in close collaboration with the Onsite Safety Officer, this role serves as the primary medical point of contact for employee wellness, hazard response, and health compliance, ensuring a safe, healthy, and regulatory-compliant environment for all personnel across site and office operations. Job Requirements Required Certification (Mandatory) Must possess a valid Standard First Aid Training (SFAT) certification issued by the Philippine Red Cross (PRC), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), or a DOLE-accredited training provider. Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification. Work Setup 100% Onsite Deployment (Full-time presence at the project site/facility). Education & Experience Education: Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), Medical Technology, Public Health, or completion of an accredited Healthcare/Medical Assistant program. Experience: Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience as an Onsite First Aider, Occupational Health Assistant, Industrial Nurse, or Clinic Assistant in a corporate, manufacturing, or construction setting. Competencies Proficiency in emergency response, basic life support, and clinical triage in a fast-paced site environment. Sound knowledge of local occupational health regulations (DOLE-OSHS) and medical record management. Strong interpersonal, empathetic communication, and stress-management skills during site emergencies. Ability to work effectively in a joint health and safety team alongside site management and safety leadership. Responsibilities Onsite Emergency First Aid & Medical Assistance - Emergency Response: Serve as the primary Onsite Medical Aide and designated first responder to provide immediate, standard first aid treatment and basic life support (BLS/CPR) during occupational injuries, acute illnesses, or site accidents. - Collaboration with Safety Officer: Work side-by-side with the Onsite Safety Officer during emergency situations to secure the incident scene, stabilize casualties, and execute site evacuation procedures. - Triage & Transport Coordination: Assess injury severity and coordinate prompt referral, transfer, and emergency ambulance transport to accredited partner hospitals or clinics when advanced medical care is needed. - Onsite Clinic Management: Maintain the physical onsite clinic/first-aid station, ensuring all trauma supplies, emergency medical kits, and equipment (AED, oxygen tanks, stretchers) are fully stocked, unexpired, and operational at all times. Workplace Health & Vital Monitoring - Health Screening & Monitoring: Conduct daily onsite health screenings, including temperature checks, blood pressure screenings, basic clinical assessments, and fit-for-work evaluations for workers returning from injury or illness. - Occupational Illness Surveillance: Jointly monitor work conditions with the Safety Officer to track health trends, work-related stress, heat exhaustion, and ergonomic discomfort to mitigate site hazards. - Specialized Health Programs: Coordinate annual physical examinations (APE), pre-employment medical clearances, drug testing protocols, and employee vaccination drives in partnership with accredited health providers. Incident Documentation & Safety Reporting - Joint Incident Investigations: Assist the Onsite Safety Officer in investigating workplace accidents, injuries, and near-misses by providing medical insights, clinical evaluations, and root-cause assistance. - Medical Recordkeeping: Create, maintain, and secure confidential employee medical files (201 health records) in compliance with privacy regulations. - Workplace Health Reporting: Document all clinic visits, first-aid treatments rendered, and work-related incidents. Prepare consolidated monthly medical reports for management and the site Safety Committee. - Claims Support: Assist workers with medical documentation required for social security, work contingency benefits, or health insurance claims. Health Education & Joint Safety Training - Toolbox Talks & Briefings: Conduct regular onsite health safety briefings, hygiene demonstrations, and basic first-aid orientations in coordination with the Onsite Safety Officer during daily/weekly toolbox meetings. - Employee Wellness Initiatives: Implement health awareness campaigns focusing on preventive health, site ergonomics, mental health, hydration, and heat stress prevention tailored to physical work conditions. Regulatory Compliance & Committee Participation - OSH Standard Compliance: Ensure all onsite health practices align strictly with DOLE Department Orders, Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS), and local health department mandates. - Safety Committee Collaboration: Actively participate as an essential member of the Onsite Safety and Health Committee alongside the Safety Officer to evaluate site hazards, review safety metrics, and update health protocols.
