Software Engineer

Job Overview We are looking for a Software Developer to design, develop, and maintain integration tools, APIs, and automation solutions that enhance interoperability across various engineering platforms and support digital transformation initiatives. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain APIs and middleware for seamless data exchange across engineering platforms such as E3D, AutoCAD Plant 3D, Tekla Structures, STAAD.Pro, and Autodesk Inventor - Implement automated synchronization of engineering models and manage version control systems for consistency and traceability - Develop custom plugins, scripts, and macros to automate workflows and enhance productivity - Ensure compliance with engineering standards, data formats (e.g., IFC, DWG, CIS/2), and project requirements - Collaborate with engineering teams to gather integration requirements, troubleshoot issues, and improve interoperability - Develop reporting tools and dashboards for project monitoring, QA, procurement, and fabrication tracking - Support digitalization initiatives including QMS automation, desktop monitoring systems, and approval workflows using Microsoft Power Platform Job Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields - At least 2 years of software development experience - Proficient in Python, C#, and VB.NET - Experience with engineering software APIs/SDKs (E3D, AutoCAD Plant 3D, Tekla Structures, STAAD.Pro) is highly desirable - Strong understanding of engineering data formats such as IFC, DWG, XML, and CIS/2 - Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and database technologies for integration and data management - Excellent collaboration and communication skills; able to work in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment - Experience developing automation tools for reporting, documentation, or project tracking is an advantage
